Thanks for stopping by CycleVa
.
We believe Mountain Biking is one of the best outdoor sports/activites there is! We want to help you get the most out of this by helping promote what has given us so much out of life! We are here for you. We hope to bring you good, reliable information regarding events along with introducing you to other riders around the state.

TRAILHEAD SECTION
This is a good way for the new and experienced riders to share and find new areas to ride. It will help provide you with an idea of what the trail will be like before you take the trip! The trails you see here now are trails we have been riding for years and know well. Please let us know of your favorite trails, we would like to share them with everyone. And of course, we like to thank Garmin, DeLorme, and the Virginia State Park System for valuable input. A little insight: When you see the topo map, right click and zoom in. You can then move the map around to see the terrain better!

LEVEL:
Green- beginner
Blue – Intermediate

The content of this page will continually change and therefore viewer discretion is warranted!

This website has been constructed for you to be as interactive as possible with the other riders in our community. As time goes, this page will develop just like the best of trails. Input is needed and appreciated! Please give as much as possible!

Thanks!!!

Cycle Ed and CED'S Say and ‘The Sports Medicine Corner’ and all other contributions-

Ed Jones operates Cycles Ed in Ashland, Va. He is very well known and respected in the biking community. Every now and then he likes to voice his opinions. CycleVa is very excited to have him publish his column with us whenever he feels like it! Just remember these are his comments and do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of anyone affiliated with CycleVa. So have fun and give him some feedback if you wish. It’s all a matter of Mountain Biking!!

Matt Marchal is another big advocate of biking and medicine. His column is very informative and new ones arrive every month. We look forward to what he has to contribute. There is a column on the Forum for which to ask his advice on matters. Again these are Matt’s columns and his opinions and views are his and not necessarily that of CycleVa.com

You can submit photos, as long as they are in 640X480 formats and compressed to fewer than 100k. We have to think about download times.

POP-UP's

We do not subscribe to annoying pop-up ads! We do use pop-up screens on some of the sections for better trail clarity. So if click on something and it does not display, make sure your pop-up blocker is not on. Then turn it back on when you are done. Right now, only the Trailhead Section uses pop-ups.

ABOUT US

We are just a couple of guys in the Richmond area. We have been riding and racing throughout the state of Virginia for a little over ten years now. Our riding style mostly consists of XC.

While, recently, riding around the Richmond area, we notice that there were a lot more riders around. Well, we also noticed that there was no one source of where to ride and find out about events in Virginia. Well, why not give other Mountain Bikers a place to meet and find out where else to ride!
