SM100 (CP5) 38'17.185 -79'18.045

Part of the incredible SM100, this section is the hillclimb to be reckoned with. We started from Braley Pond to trace the route from CP4 to CP5. The start is a paved/fire road warm up that gradually climbs. THEN the turn onto FR85 will keep you climbing for miles. Since we were not doing the SM100, we decided to ride the extra 2 miles to the top of Reddish Knob. On our return, we went back by way of Little Bald Knob, which is some more climbing! Reaching Little Bald, we took White Oak(Bald Knob Trail) back to Camp Todd(3 miles) for some killer downhill. When we arrived at Camp Todd, we went left onto the fire road and back tracked to the parking lot at Braley Pond. This ride was done in a clockwise direction.
